# Which materials to choose for lightweight socks?

Each of these lightweight materials has its own characteristics:

Cotton voile: this is the finest material you can find; cotton voile socks are equivalent in fineness to 50 denier tights. They are ideal to wear in very hot and humid weather.
Linen: this material is known for its moisture absorption capabilities. Linen socks keep feet cool and dry, making them perfect for summer. The advantage of linen also lies in the length of its fibers, which provide extra durability to the socks.
Scottish thread: this is a very high-quality cotton, known for its lightness. Scottish thread socks can be worn year-round and are particularly suitable for mild temperatures.
Sea Island cotton: this is an especially soft and silky material. Sea Island cotton socks offer extreme comfort with unmatched fineness and lightness.

# When to wear lightweight socks?

These socks are ideal to wear during the summer season! If you particularly suffer from heat, we recommend choosing mid-calf socks rather than mid-ankle. The lightest will be cotton voile socks, perfect for temperatures in tropical climates. If you are looking for lightweight socks for winter, we advise wearing Scottish thread socks, which protect the feet without keeping them warm.
